Chreece is an independent, community-based hip hop organization founded in 2015 that celebrates the vibrant local culture and diversity of the genre. We achieve this through creative collaboration, access for all via community arts programming, equitable artist wages, artist development workshops, and industry panels. Our signature event, Chreece Hip Hop Festival, is a culmination of our year round work featuring 70+ local artists that exemplifies our values in one day. Hip hop symbolizes the freedom of expression and transcends class by providing a snapshot of the society in which we live in.
